RAMBLING YAYYYY

It should come as no surprise to anyone that knows me that I like Dirk a lot. At first I didn't care for him (I cared more about the Harleys if I'll be honest) but now that I've actually taken the time to properly analyze his character I can proudly say that he makes me feel every single emotion the human body is capable of producing. He makes me happy. He makes me sad. He makes me want to throw hypothetical beer bottles at hypothetical children. GOD, he is an enigma, and I love him. But I also hate him. And I also cry over him. I have a love-hate relationship with Dirk Strider from Homestuck.

I don't know if I want him or if I want to /be/ him. It's hard to tell sometimes. Perhaps I can have a mixture of both. Because why not? :D

Now, why do I like Dirk? Well. He's pretty awesome. He likes MLP, which is cool. He's also a Prince of Heart, which is pretty cool too. Another reason why I like him so much is because of how much I can relate to him, which plays a big contributing role to all of this. Oh, Dirk. Dear sweet precious Dirk. Stop being so relatable. You make me want to curl up in a ball and sob sometimes.

I suppose Dirk's issues with self loathing and stuff like that (I'm pretty sure he has those issues, it's been a hot minute since I've read Act 6) tie into his role as a Prince of Heart. Princes destroy their aspect/destroy with their aspect, and the Heart aspect relates to the soul and emotions and inner selves and stuff like that. So a Prince of Heart destroys the soul and whatever the hell I said prior to this. I definitely could've explained that better. I'm no master at classpecting though; I'm just the viewer consuming the information greedily.

Adding onto this, I think the idea of splinters are really cool. These splinters (in the case of the Prince of Heart) are a result of Dirk "destroying" his sense of self, splitting it into pieces. Man, he's just distributing them like Halloween candy at this point. But anyways: Brain Ghost Dirk. At first I thought it was odd that Jake had some weird ass Dirk tulpa that he talked to sometimes. Like where did he come from? What??? Then I figured out that BG (Brain Ghost) Dirk was a splinter. Is splinter the official term for it or is it something widely agreed on by the majority of Homestucks? Strange.

Okay I need stuff to put here so the div will work properly. Anyways, he is SO COOL. I'll never stop talking about Di-Stri. (By the way, the person in the second image is my OC. He is a Maid of Space. I don't care if the Maid class is exclusively female, I do what I want.)
